A forgotten Summer treat

Went grocery shopping with 'da momma' and while wandering the aisles there was an Orange Juice display right next to a Mountian Dew display. Hit me, while in the South a summer treat was a 50/50 combo of Orange Juice and Mountian Dew with a scoop of vanilla bean Ice Cream.
The trick was to get the ice cream cold enough that ice crystals formed on the ice cream from the OJ/Dew mix.

Got ingrediants home, stuck ice cream in deep freeze for about 2 hours, chilled the Dew and OJ, made a large mug of the mix and sat in hot (now just heated to 85*)tub....memories of days past.

I'm a big fan of OJ with just about anything carbonated and not dark.  I shall now try this.
