I would suggest getting a Lapco Bigshot. The stock barrels are ill bored, and suck borribly. A new barrel will fix your problems.

A dud?  My J&J never fails me.

Actully... i think the paint you use is extremely low grade from Wal-Mart if im not mistaken.  Paint makes a pretty big deal in how the balls moves and breakage wise.

also, get a better squeegee, DOP makes a nice one ( i have it).

As for paint, im usually using diablo heat or when my local paintball shop has it, evil paintballs.  Both of excellent choices in my opinion.

I have a JJ and the only time I have problems with it is cheap/old paint or smaller bores.

I use DBX Practice a lot and it works well. Any medium bore .689-.691 should shoot through it fine.

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

you could try different kinds of paint or you could get a new barrel. If you went with a new barrel get a Lapco Big Shot anywere from 8-14 inches.
