A5 decocking itself

   sometimes when I fire fast, it decockes itself. is the problem that its not getting enough CO2 in the gun to cock it back all the way. if so How can I solve this problem? Or at least get it to not do it as often.

	That sometimes happens when the gun hasnt been greased/oiled in a while. If you haven't cleaned and oiled it recently then thats probably your problem. Otherwise its maybe that there isnt enough air to recock the hammer after the shot. Possibly due to a clog or faulty valve, but this is probably the less likely cause of the two.

	It is possible, especially in cooler weather, to fire faster than the CO2 is capable of converting from liquid to gas form. One possible solution to this is an expansion chamber. A cheaper solution, if you play at a field where you can get CO2 whenever you need it is to only have your tanks filled about half full. The empty space in the tank allows expansion room for the liquid CO2 to become gas and also serves as a reservoir for the gaseous CO2, theoretically allowing you more firing at a fast rate before your supply of gaseous CO2 is expended.

	I just remembered this when I shut my computer down, either your sear or rear bolt could be worn and cant catch when you are shooting a fairly high ROF. Now as far as Mack says that it could the the co2 not expanding properly, that may be happening BUT I highly doubt that you could outshoot it entirely... and if this was happening you would be getting insane snowing from the barrel etc. Take it apart and have a look at it, check the sear and the sear catch on the bottom of the rear bolt for wear. Give it a clean and make sure to give it some oil, possibly a bit extra if its dry (when you clean it) but be sure not to over oil it either. Edited by Jawa_Nz - 21 September 2006 at 10:29pm
