Hey Guys/Gals-

I was hoping someone got some advice for me.  I just bought a Tippmann A-5 w/ E-grip(w.a.s.)  and flatline barrell.  My problem is that it seems like my gun is purging too much air with each shot.  I tried everything to correct this.I tried the velocity screw, debounce, ROF, and even put it to single shot semi. All to no avail. I took the gun apart and checked all the o-rings and they were all fine.  The gun is brand new and this problem is driving me nuts.  My best friend got the same model at the same time and his gun sounds perfect, this is how I know my gun is firing wrong. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks Guys....Schmidty

Tippmanns are just gas hogs plain and simple. Debounce won't do
anything. You don't need to mess with it. The flatline just makes it really
loud. Your gun is fine

Everytime I shoot its soo loud and sounds almost like it should be shooting 2 or 3 balls with that much sound and air. Thats what i ment by purging. The sound and blast is coming out of the barrell, nowhere else in the gun, so its sealed right.  I just dont understand how my gun is soo loud compared to my best friend's, who has the exact same gun except his gun has an E-grip without the w.a.s board. It just seems like im wasting too much air on every shot.

Thanks Guys....Schmidty

Does he have the Flatline? Flatlines are extremely loud. One of the loudest barrels out there. If your friend has a Flatty, and his is quiet, there is probably something wrong with his gun.

Are you actually getting fewer shots from your bottle? Are you and he using the same barrels? Are both of you using the same paint? Paint match to barrel will make a difference in loudness.

Yeah I got a Flatline barrell.  As far as the paint goes, we were using the same balls.  We never actually compared air usage between the guns I just assumed i was wasting more air because of the loud sound.  Thats intersting that you wrote it may be his gun with the problem, because i have been getting alot of feedback that the Flatline is very loud, so i can rest alittle easier.  When you spend that much money for something and its new I hope it works right.  Thanks everyone i really apprieciate it.
Thanks Guys....Schmidty

Trust us, it's just the flatline, there is no other problem.  Flatlines are ear-piercingly loud in close proximity.
