Hi
i've currently got 3 tippmann's

all not working at the time.. kind of sad really

So my guns are
The A5 with egrip and upgrades looks like a m4 good mod http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/577279_10150691872875942_554347359_n.jpg

Project salvo w egrip.

the 98 custom ACT

My Problem with the A5 is a leak between the Tombstone and Valve, Air is leaking out between the valve sides and tombstone. This happened while i was changing my powertube to a red dragon alu.tube w.bolt. I took out the internals and oiled up all the orings and stuff. but as i put it together i noticed a leak... really annoying, i've been taking it apart and checking it about 10 times now been replacing orings and oiling them up but still nothing better.
so is it maybe the valve or tombstone who's got a scratch or fault?

My Project Salvo i bought used on Ebay, kind of an accident really but still an ok backup i guessed. i poened it up as i got it and everything seemed jolly good. nothing alarming. as i cocked and fired it without air all seemed well,
as i was going to use it yesterday i aired it up and as always everything seemed fine. As i was going up to do the chrono test i started shooting. It has a fault with the firing, the gun just sounds like  a chainsaw  just keeps on firing even in single mode so something is acting up, anyone got any experience with this? its not going full auto on every mode it's just pounding on so it must be another fault

My 98 Custom ACT; this one i thiink is really easy. its got a air fault. i've just replaced the bolt and power tube bq someone told me it was the fault. The fault of it is when i am shooting the air sometimes leaks out of it you hear this BRRRT and i need to re-cock it to shoot again. I know that the rear oring that sits between the hammer and stock mount is missing. is it crucial and might be the fault?

thank you for your help it really means alot, i'm abit frustrated since all my guns have gone wrong ;)

also i'm from norway so my english might be abit off, sorry

Start by putting the original power tube back in.  Original Tippmann internals generally work best on Tippmann markers.  There are very few after-market parts that really provide an improvement of any kind.  While you're doing this make sure you have both the o-ring and washer for the tombstone and they are correctly installed.

Assuming that you weren't testing with an empty or near empty tank, check the sear and the bottom of the rear bolt for excessive wear.  They may require replacement or repair.

That o-ring is important.  Not having it shouldn't cause the problem your describing but it could cause other issues in the future.  Again, make sure the tank isn't empty or near empty, check to make sure all parts are properly installed and check the rear bolt and sear for wear.

I would guess that in the process of switching the valve into the new powertube something got put back together wrong. When something suddenly starts leaking after an upgrade it's almost always 1 little part getting left out.

Check the parts diagram in the manual to make sure all the components inside the valve are in there correctly. Especially the tombstone o-ring and the washer that sits just underneath it inside the valve. It's quite common for one of those to go missing or for them to be assembled in the wrong order.
