I am having a problem with the velocity on my A-5. I can get only 245fps with the flatline and the velocity screw all the way out. With stock barrel, I am lucky to get 285fps.

I see posts where you guys are getting 280fps with the flatline ! That would be awesome !

Any suggestions as to what this could be ?

Possible bind in the rear bolt's path from the overspray on the receivers. Also, the valve spring may be damaged/ warped. Make sure the CVX has been oiled (drop oil directly into it).

If its cold out your velocity will not be at its peak because of the co2 and its slow reaction to coldth.

How do I solve bind in rear bolt path ? What is CVX ?

I am using HPA so it is not a co2 issue.

polish your internals. to solve any binding issues. Oil everything.

CVX is the type of valve Tippmann uses.
