A5 vs 98C

Anyway, on a serious note, you guys need to relax. Although there is a good amount of poo being shot out of people's mouths disguised as facts, there's no reason to freak out. As an owner of both I believe (and have said MANY times here) that the A5 is superior to the 98c for many reasons when stock. And if you try to make a 98c like a stock A5 the cost will be greater than just buying the A5 and you still won't have all the same features. Things like quick stripping or removable barrel threads cannot be added to the 98c unless you want to do some serious custom work on your gun. I have made posts in the past where I list the main differences between the two guns and go into detail on each so if you want specifics, search for them. I've typed that info so many times already for other people that I'm tired of it and I just tell people to search. I think Kreeper-X's sticky covers that stuff anyway but if not, you can look for my old posts.

As I said before, I own both guns and I know that both are great pieces of equipment and I'd recommend either one in a heartbeat. However, I also acknowledge the fact that the A5 is a better gun overall. To address a few things brought up in this thread: the cyclone does not seem to be a gas hog though I haven't done any tests (this is based on 2 years experience with the A5 after almost 2 years with a 98c), the cyclone feed rate is not unlimited but it works very well at around 10-12 bps which is where I usually hit at most (I never fire blanks or have feeding issues), and the A5 is definitely as sturdy as the 98c. Those are just short answers to some of the myths/questions about the A5 brought up here so I don't have to take up a whole page. If you want more details I can post them.

Out of the box, the A5 is much better and if you upgrade them both to perform like more expensive guns, the A5 will either be cheaper or the same price as a 98c with the same types of upgrades and the A5 will still have some advantages. Do a search if you want more specifics.

Understood but there are new players looking for facts here and while I'm ok with you having a different opinion, it isn't backed by facts and I don't think it's fair to the new players who don't know that. I'm not asking you to change your opinion but rather to present facts that back it up instead of just saying "my opinion is...". I don't mean to be a pain but I'm doing it for the benefit of others.
