The 14" apex barrel will be too short. I have an alpha black tactical with shroud and everything just like you.
i know the 18" will work, but my question is how the 16" will work. apex makes 14, 16, and 18 inch barrels that comes stock with your apex. i havent heard anyone say the 16 will or wont work, but i know the 14 wont |

Ridiculous. Anything over the 12" to 14" range is overkill on any barrel.
Just as well or as badly. Take your pick.
And why wouldn't the 14" work? What difference does 2" to 4" extra inches make other than making your marker more of a gas hog?

Ah, I'm on the side of the fence where I believe that the performance of a marker is more important than the aesthetics. I will not win here.

Gotta watch with the AB. the ring that the barrel goes through on the fore stock of the marker is a set width. If you pick a barrel that's thinner than the stock barrel, you'll have wiggle because it won't be snug in there. I solved my problem with a J&J ceramic being significantly thinner with a few strands of electrical tape to close that gap and stop the wiggle.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, you will as soon as you put an after market barrel on there. ![]() |
