My first marker was an Alpha Black Tactical.
I don't know how, but my valve looks like it was chewed on where the steel hose connects to the valve assembly. The threads are shot. I don't want to purchase the wrong parts. Does anyone have any suggestions on what parts to purchase? Are there any valves, and power tube combos our there that you can suggest? I want to take this thing out to play some more. I have a 98 Custom parts kit ready to go to work on this bad boy. Please help, thank you in advance.

The AB uses the same internals as the 98C. If the threads on the valve are damaged from cross threading, you will have to buy a new valve. If the marker is relatively new, Tippmann may replace it for free if you contact their customer support. If not, there are several online vendors that sell new valves. Do not waste your money on aftermarket internals. Stock internals work great and are considerably cheaper. There is no significant performance increase from aftermarket internals and in some cases, they actually decrease the useability of the marker.

Tippmann Tank Adaptor. These are the same ones used on model 98's |

Yeah the threads are worn. I need the valve and casing. I'll purchase them from Tippmann's site or an authorized dealer (I've got one near me here in L.A.). I've heard a lot that I need to get stock parts. Again, thanks.

If by "casing" you mean the powertube, it shouldnt get chewed up as the stainless gas line actually screws into the valve passing through the PT. The PT isn't actually touched. It might help to snap a picture of exactly what you are talking about to make sure you are getting the right part. |

Ah....If he is needing the valve body where the gas line screws into, that is different from what I understood. It is possible to chew up the valve body (inside the power tube). Larger amounts of loc-tite are sometimes needed to seal it up, but you must be real careful to not get any junk in the valve.
