Back in 1998, it was the gun I wanted so incredibly bad. Cooler heads prevailed.

Those were big when I just started out. That was awhile back. That was a top of the line gun for BE, under the Rainmaker, back when some BE guns were made of metal. Pretty nice guns. Yours is a red annodized, I presume?

nope...second edition origionals...the upgraded green ones
so far my upgrades are a pen spring mod on the trigger, and i put in a spacer on the rear spring that forces the hammer so it will have more power. it dosent need to be polished since its very smooth already on the inside...its made from a solid block of aircraft alla, it has 3 sight rails to put stuff on, one on each side and then one on top...its a power feed which will change one day...it has a stock barrel but its a good barrel for being stock...it has no porting but is very smoot and preforms well with the marker, its a little bit hard to release the bolt pulling the trigger...but thats how all of them were back them, so walking it is out the the question...lol...im planing on taking the rear-top padding bolt out and cutting the top of the raptor down some to make it almost like a rat tail, then imi going to file the sight rails off and make a 90* trigger frame with a blade style doubble trigger for it...the bolt and all of the parts are stock...havent needed to be changed...some of the anadizeation has worn off over the year from rubbling...but thats no problem...its rather heavy by todays standards...around 5 pounds, but most of the gun is either alla or steel, the bolt is made from the same aircraft alla as the body and barrel, and the trigger frame is cast alla. the trigger itself is plastic along with the ball stop...anther mod i did to it was i made the ball stop stronger and changed the screw that held it down so it would work 3 times better. when you pull the trigger it moves 1/16" before it you feel it make contact with the bolt lever and then another 1/8" to release the bolt and fire. all in all i think its like a good old mustang or corvette...all it needs is work and care and it can hang with the modern competertors Edited by ¤ RaVeN ¤ |
