Ok here is the deal. I am bored with the look of my A5. I like the look af the M4 style but alot of people have that. I have been looking at the B5 for a while now. I would get the one without the electronics and would have to install it myself which means using a sodering iron. I dont have a sodering iron but i do have a coldheat thing which soders without having to heat up alot. its hard to explain how it works. Anyways back to topic. I was wondering if anyone has ever used one or seen one. I like the look of it but do not know if I want to risk my egrip board on it since it voids the warranty. here is a link for anyone who doesnt know what the b5 is. http://store.identitycrisispaintball.com/index.php?main_page =product_info&products_id=17 any honest opinions are welcomes. Also I dont want to get the one with the APE installed b/c 1 i like the WAS since i now understand its nodes, and 2 it is ridiculously overpriced for just having the APE installed over the one without it installed.

alright i think i can help with the people who think its look is ugly, and im so happy i found this because i was just browsing and i found it like 2 hours earlier. I happend to find a gallery of finished B5's in various forms and styles, here it is. http://www.geek-out.com/paint/a5/b5/b5.htm I like the look of it finished but im not sure what the order you thinking about includes (i could read it but w/e). it is a serious decision to make no doubt. on thing can be certain you would have one of the coolest custom markers out there and you would intimidate many. you might not want to screw your gun up either installation looks more complicated than what you might be bargaining for. Ultimately you have to weigh the upgrade and its advantages with the fact that you might blow $180 on something you don't want to use ..and i mean that thing is friggin cool as the cats pajamas Edited by t_hop - 25 March 2008 at 7:24pm |

honestly i like the look of the B5 stock. i dont care if someone else thinks its ugly. I know a few people that have done the install so they could prolly help a lil. We will wait to see. Maybe a good winter project. *edit: as I was looking at the page I started thinking hmm... this looks familiar. Then it clicked. Bulldog (the guy who made that site) is my teammate lol. He is the one that would help me with it.* Edited by thejudge - 25 March 2008 at 9:39pm |

If you're open to any other cosmetic looks aside from the B5, that ump shroud doesn't look that bad. Easier to install too! |

too many people have it though. thats why I like the B5. Not alot of people have it. I was told by the teammates to get the one with the APE installed though. its just too much so I may have to chance it and install my own electronics.

The b5 is nice I agree.
Get rid of the cold heat, they are garbage. Go buy a $10 soldering iron from radio shack or better yet, a soldering gun. |

Meh. This is why I prefer function over form. This hobby is expensive enough without having to shell out money to change the look of my marker if I get bored with it. The most I've cosmetically done to my marker was the camo kit and barrel sleeves.

Well part of it is that I saw the B5 along time ago (when it first came out) and was hooked. Also I dont need alot of performance upgrades since I set my grip to max at 11 bps. I really just like how small and compact it makes the marker. Just seems more my style.
