i feel and stuck my flatline in the mud and was wondering how do i clean it out? i heard something like hot or warm soapy water. One more thing i just played in a tournament and the other players where using spiders and they seemed to get better accuracy and distance than my flatty. Is it better to move around a lot in woodsball or to move around a lot?

Yeah, just use some warm/hot water with a little dish soap mixed in to break stuff down.
It doesn;t matter what gun they were shooting, since paitnball guns have the same inherrant accuracy. It's more about your air source(co2/HPA), barrel, and paintballs. What kinda of paint were you shooting? What kinda of barrels and paint were the Spyder-users rocking? Do any of you use HPA? Either way, a standard barrel should not be shooting farther than the Flatline...something is wrong there. Accuracy is one of the Flatline's weak points, so it's not surprising that they were more accurate, but the distance should be your area of domination. |

I clean mine by wiping the individual pieces down with paper towels. I use watered down 409 or Fantastik. I do not soak it, but wipe with a towel that is just wet. I don't have accuracy issues with my Flatline. I can hit a paper plate, 8 shots out of 10, at 150'. At max range the accuracy is down to maybe 3 of 10... but no other barrel can even shoot that far, which means their accuracy is 0 of 10 right? With just better than average paint you should be able to hit whatever you want at 10-200', and lay in cover fire up to 300'. As far as woodsball goes, it depends on your style of play. With the flatty, you should be able to hang back and "snipe", but you can also move in for close action. If you move too much you draw a lot of attention... that can be good or bad... depends on how much attention you like. If you sneak up and don't shoot too much, you'll be more able to bunker by suprise. Try different techniques and see what you enjoy and what works for you. This will also make you more useful as a player. Edited by Xspyderman |

One thing: when you clean the INSIDE of the A5 Flatline, make sure you don't use anything too abrasive.
The rough texture is needed to grip the ball and give it more backspin. |
