   i use the polar ice and CO2. the paint is fairly cheap at $55 for 2000. I just dont shoot rapidfire so it dont get all cold. 
it wont help if you just put a sock over the tank because it will act like an insulator and keep the cold in, not helpin at all. the hand warmer idea might work though.i never used hand warmers so i dont know how warm they get.
puttin a warmer in the hopper i never thought of. once again i nver used a warmer and therefor dont know what effect it would have on the paintballs such as swellin leading to choppin.
