I'm trying to get some data of a slightly damaged cd, everytime I do I get an error message saying "Error Cannot Copy: Cyclic Redundency Check". What does this mean and how can I get this crap of this disc?

Get that skip doctor thing and buff off a couple layers of the thing, see if that helps. But other than that, you wont be able to i dont think.

skip doctor is BS. to start off, cd's are burned in a manner expecting many bits to be messed up therefore it has a few levels(not physically levels in the plastic) of redundant data to allow the order to be rebuilt. if your disc is that damaged you may want to try a program made for this i used DVD XCopy's X-Rescue tool for a few cd's last year and i managed to recover my data. i also swore at that point to never rely completely upon optical storage for my backups or just an extra place to store crap.
