Hello, and welcome to the forum. I would take a serious look at the pro. It has a better barrel than the stock 98C, a drop forward, powder coated paint on the recievers, and will accept all of the fire power upgrades you may want down the road.

The 98c would be an awesome starter gun. My first gun was a 98c and i love it. I still have it. And i use it all the time. And have had no problems with it at all. The custom pro is still a new gun, and there could be some kind of malfunction that no one knows about yet. I'm not sayin it's a bad gun, but i would give it awhile before u buy one. But it's your choice. Good luck

I own a 98c and it's an awsome gun, but if the custom pro was available when i bought my first gun I would have went with it.
NASA and the Americans spent millions of dollars and hundreds of hours to develop a pen that would write in space.....The Russians used a pencil.

The custom pro is nice because it has the ability to hold the e-grip. That just right there is enough to make me buy it.

good mask, i had one and its actually right next to me at the moment *tries it on again* mighty comfortable i must say. however, you will need a motorized hopper (12v revvy should do well, or maybe an egg) and also co2 will work, however i recomend hpa. your hands will turn to ice with co2 at high rates of fire.

Woodsball-98c and upgrade it just for woodsball.

Speedball-Custom Pro and make fast as heck!

Both-I'd say Custom Pro for a good overall gun.

Well, i have a custom pro and its awsome nothing ever goes wrong with it and i got it before they started to advertise it. I like the longer barrel and who ever said it might have flaws was wrong it is the exactsame as the 98c but a new name and a couple upgrades
Paintballs hurts just enough to make you duck faster the next time.

Both guns are good guns.  You should be perfectly happy with either one concidering the preformance you should get and because of the price.

Even without the price and the preformance Tippmanns are good.  Wanna know why?  CUZ THEIR TIPPMANNS!!!!!!!!!!!!  AND TIPPMANNS ROOOOOOOOOOOCCCCCCCCCCKKK!!!!!!!!!!
