Q.E.V. The cycloen orignally pushes used air back through the line, Q.E.V. vents out making the cyclone cycle faster.
Vortex Mod: Durable mod for the Cyclone so that your ratchets do not break, also known to help the gun run at low pressures and increase feed speed. 1\8 Hose + Barb: Bigger hoses = more air flow Also.. when you get a QEV you better decide on the hose as well, so you can't really set those apart.. it should be QEV + 1\8 Hoses or Vortex Mod Edited by Mr. 47 - 27 September 2006 at 5:13pm |

Because QEVS normally come with a pre-installed barb..you get to choose the size barb 1\16 or 1\8, so if you did your stock hoses and then decided to goto 1\8 you would have to pay EXTRA money that you orignally wouldn't have had to spend.

Oh that make sense. Now can i order a QEV right from tippmann? Can i order hoses for RT (super) and for Cyclones right from tippmann? Can i order vortex mod from tippmann? |

Neg. http://www.clippard.com/store/display_details.asp?sku=MEV-2- NP Clippard QEV, it has no barbs installed, it just uses 10-32 threaded input. You can purchase whatever size barb you need, or both if you feel adventerous. |

Psh, Clippard's QEVS leave much to be desired, I'd suggest going with Palmers Pursuit QEV KIT, for 36$ you get the hoses, barbs, and you can choose 1\16 or 1\8, don't order them from Tippmannparts all they sale QEV wise is the Smart Parts 1\16 Ion QEV >.< I have a Palmers QEV and it is fully adjustable so I like it alot
After all, you want a good QEV, QEVS are technically the best thing to speed up the Cyclone, Vortex really dosen't speed it up much from what I've been hearing...it just relieves the annoyance of having to buy new ratchets.

first thing to get would be the qev... and like mr 47 said go to palmer of tip parts... the vortex really all it does is it makes your cyclone operate at lower psi normally the cyclone shuts off at 300 psi when there is still many shots left in the tank with the vortex it pushes it down to 100psi when you can maybe get 1 or 2 shots off with it

I'll link you to it... you owe me! https://palmer-pursuit.com/ecom/product_info.php/products_id /304?osCsid=7da281a24741c94aef1c4a5960baf2f8
That's the full kit you can select 1\16, 10\32, or 1\8.. go with 1\8, 10\32 is overkill. You can also adjust how much air goes into the cyclone and how much comes out by the adjuster on the QEV... very useful if you ever get an LPK, or Vortex. I'll be going Vortex in about two months...even though I have not seen any wear on my current ratchet... |

I agree with Ricwhic on that.. a Tippmann being LP is a disgrace to me....I mean come on, why be a panzie and go low-pressure when high-pressure works PERFECTLY and you don't have to spend 130$ extra? The kit also makes your gun look ugly too, you need TWO regulators, light-weight hammer, new valve..bla.bla.bla not worth it!

I agree, they aren't worth the money, but if I follow your logic, you've never owned one so you aren't worthy to comment about it, troll.

I've seen them in action....and the only benefit you get is "QUIETNESS" that and almost NO recoil. There are certain thing you have to experiance, such as barrels, hoppers, and so forth, but air-system modifications and so forth that just LOOK bad and in the end rip you off.. it's kinda a given...troll. (Think about it.. you buy it, hook it up, have to buy a LP Tank, have to buy a second regulator and all for what? Because you can't handle "RECOIL" that is associated with HIGH PRESSURE?)

lol, recoil is MASSIVE!!1111! If I had your massive hands and matching
huge ripped arms, I wouldn't have to worry about recoil, but alas I
don't Run along and make a new name already, sparky.

...You really think the A-5 has lots of recoil..? Are you like 11? And what's the problem with me making a new name? My orignal one "Revo" was guested for flameing, and Tippmania, I had almost 400 posts, then it went to 100,000... and then back to 0... I didn't even like that s\n and I just made it to get back on the forum ASAP.. now I made one that I actually like, got a problem with that? Or are you made that on the hoppers I convinced the people to NOT get the crappy Vlocity that you seem to love? And are you also mad that the Cyclone can reach 26bps and up like your Vlocity..?

you aren't too swift at detecting sarcasm young feller..
I'm pretty happy with my markers; and no, I'm not 'made' that you
convinced thousands of people to not ge the vlocity (eh?). My
markers are pretty normal, I have lots to learn, it just won't be
learned from the likes of you and your condescending troll posts.
