I think it is because the easyest milsim conversion for an A-5 is an ak47

Ya thats def. not true.

Nice ak, talk to thomsonshooter about a front sight, and his folding stocks. Then it would be complete.

actually no the hand guard is made of medium duty plastic has a few metal pieces but for the most part plastic its amazingly light pretty durable i wouldent trust throwing it at a rock but seems like it could take a fair beating the mag however does have a tad bit of wait i got the steel one and its all steel so is the mounting piece i plan on getting a remote in time to take some of the weight off but i can carry it around for awhile no problem

i don't know if opgear (I assume that's where you got the mag kit) uses standard AK 7.62 mags. on my AK, i used a real AK mag i got from a gun shop and mounted it myself, costing only $10, not $70.    here is my AK for comparison.

i have since taken off the sight rail. i need a new pic.

Yeah i would of prefferd to just get the ak mag but i dont know where i could get one and beings it doesnt come ready to mount to an A-5 i would want to get 1 from a store where i could see it in person to make sure it would of worked thats the only reason i orderd from opsgear and it was $50 not $70 whered you get $70 from?
