What is a good Expansion Chamber for a 98 Custom? I was looking at the ones that look like Magazines and the one that Tippmann has

My understanding is that an expansion chamber is designed to help allow the CO2 more room to turn to gas, and thus get better consistancy with your shots. If you simply use a HPA tank instead then all the problems of CO2 go away. So basically is is a way of making up for one of the downfalls of CO2.

yea, the dead on 8 stage is a good x chamber. especially for the price.

you will still need the vertical adapter to install it through...

i would drop the extra money and get either HPA or a Palmer Stabilizer through.

Ok I am going to be getting the Dead on Expansion Chamber.

I will need the Vertical Adapter and the Expansion Chamber a Hose kit and a 90 degree elbow? What length hose should I get? And do I need 2 90 degree elbows? Is there any thing else I need to instal this?

it depends how old your model 98 is. all you should need the vertical adapter and another 90* elbow, your stock steel braided cable will be long enough if you get the elbow.

you will have to mount to vertical adapter, screw the xchamber into it and then screw the 90* elbow into the xchamber and from there it should go to the steel braided line to your asa.

i think thats all you'll need, but it depends how old your 98 is.

If the steel braided hose connects straight on the front of your bottom line at the bottom of your grip, then you only need one.

If the seel braided hose connects on the side of your bottom line at then you need two.

BUT i agree with black shadow...a steel 48/3000 hpa tank is gonna run you about the same cost as the whole expansion chamber set up...or if your willing to go a little deeper palmers would be a great choice too.

Go Palmer's Reg so if you decide to go HPA you won't have an expansion chamber sitting on the shelf.  It gives you options and better quality at the same time for a minor increase in cost.
