update.  the motor handles 18v without any issues.  ran it for minutes...and got bored of holding the wires on the batt.  i say it couldn't take more than 25.

ive run it on 9v hours on end. as far as the cheetah, ive heard too that it frys at 16v.  where did you hear this.  i want to make sure before i find the biggest 14.4 volt li ion battery pack for this beast.
