Topic: What trigger to get?Posted: 31 May 2004 at 1:12pm |
|
I'm kind of new to paintball. After I played for the first time I went out and bought a Tippmann 98 custom. Now I want to get a new trigger (double finger). What is the best double tigger to get? Oh yeah I am also looking for a new barrel any suggestions? Edited by Mako |

Welcome to the forum, I used a GTA (Genuine Tippmann Acessories) Double trigger and it worked fine for me. Most double triggers are the same thing but with a different name. Some good barells are the LAPCO Bigshot, Smart Parts All American and the Evil Pipe.

just get any dbl trigger theyre all the same. unless you want a blade trigger. as for barrels id have to say J&J ceramic for 30- 40 bucks. or more expensive all american 70$. lapco bigshot's price falls in the mid 50 bucks. those are barrels with 3 different prices but are most commonly used and are really good barrels.

a 12" teardrop is an awesome barrel....and for the double triggre go to ebay and search for a wild viper trigger....they are brand new and like 20 bucks if you get buy it now...they are awesome looking....if they arent there and you wanna wait for one wai untill the next day or two and there will be another one there...or if you dont want one of those any double trigger is fine really...just make sure its for the 98 custom

I'd just go with a GTA double trigger. Do you have any price range on a new barrel? There are several good buys out there including[but not limited to] a JJ ceramic[35 @ actionpaintball.com], all american[70, same as before], teardrop[?], flatline barrel[115 but worth it to me], just about anything made by dye[ watch the xcel, i believe it is large bore and most good paint is medium to small bore. medium is usually the bore size of choice], and custom products barrels. Some barrels you DEFINATELY want to stay away from are CMI barrels[thunderpig, tru-flight, ect.] and i have never heard of anyone liking a barrel made by 3A. There are very good barrels for the price[ie: JJ ceramic] but many times you get what you pay for. If you dont plan on buying an r/t or e-bolt there are many trigger mods available for the do-it-yourself type. Mine only required a mechanical pencil spring, electrical tape[trigger stop], and sandpaper. Just search the forum. Have fun.
