I recently bought a pro team barrel kit to help make my 98c look more like an M4 and it looks great but performance is kind of strange. When shooting it in my backyard at targets I was happy with the accuracy, it shoots about as good as my bigshot, but when I went to the field with it on sunday things started getting weird. I have the gun modded to allow for rapid fire and it never used to chop when shooting fast when I had the bigshot on but for some reason I would chop one or two per hopper with this barrel on and even when I'm not shooting more than 1 or 2 bps. Now, I was using marbs when this happened and with my bigshot I would normally chop at most 1 or 2 per case if I was shooting a lot of burst fire. This barrel seemed to be causing me to chop that much per game (every 200 rounds or so) even if I shot very slow. The barrel is brand new and the paint seemed to be in good condition so I'm kind of confused. Is the barrel in this kit known to do this or did I just get a bad one? Is it possible to fix this?

make sure that box of paint wasnt old.. try those marbs with ur lapco and see if ur having the same problem. if you are yes i would suggest a smaller bore paint.

I probably should put some more paint through it before I declare the barrel at fault but I have a strong feeling that it wasn't the paint. I'll shoot through it some more and if the problem persists then I'll see if maybe it was defective. I hope this isn't normal for this barrel because I won't be able to play with my barrel shroud on if it is. I tried the shroud on the bigshot and I can't get the fastener on so I can't even swap the barrel out. I'm hoping that it turns out to be bad paint.
