Topic: **=URGENT=** Gun Decisions!! Posted: 06 June 2004 at 4:56pm |
Well, today two decisions have arisen for me in the world of paintball... My gun:
- A-5
- E-grip
- Collapsable Stock
- Lapco Snapshot
- (soon to be "Ultimate Speedball Trigger Job")
- DOP Pro-Style Drop Forward
- Adapter Block
- Low Pressure Kit
- Palmers Male Stabilizer
- Bob Long mini gauge
So here are the decisons I have...
- I can sell my A-5, parts and all, keep my 2x 16 oz Co2 tanks, sell everything else on it, and buy: 04 Vert feed Autococker, 48/4500 nitro tank, Dye boomstick ironmen series, Evolution II, Tank Cover, Shocktech Superfly Bolt. heres the catch, if I do this, I can't buy ANY and I mean ANY ( barrels, regs, hoppers, anything) for two years, which i'm 14 and will be driving in two years.
- Or I can keep my A-5 all my upgrades and just buy a nitro tank.
And don't just say keep the A-5 because i'm on the Tippmann forum, i'm looking for better performance, I will be playing woodsball and speedball, and remember don't just say "oh stay with the Tippmann" because you like yours, or "Oh get the autococker" because you like yours, i'm looking for real answers, and please explain your answers, thanks a million in advance.

Ok are you crazy keep the A-5 its a nice gun! Get nitro for it!
You would just be loseing alot of money if you sold the a-5, you can upgrade the a-5 so that its just as good as the autococker!

Well i don't have a cocker or an a5, but i'd say keep the a5. You've got a lot of money in it already anyway. Cockers are nice, but they don't have the same rugged look and feel of the a5. Instead of getting the cocker, why not just spend the money on a nice HPA tank. Just go with option #2.

a-5 because
its very customizable and upgradeable(i think it will soon be THE most upgradeable gun on the market)
VERY durable and reliable
can get great customer service from tippmann
fast enough
you can still buy other upgrades
you have a lot of money into it.
thses are more personal reasons
the feel of an a-5,I love it!
the loook, ability to make it a mil-sim.
wim just wondering, ehy couldnt you buy other ipgrades if you bought a cocker?

Keep the A5, you've already put alot of upgrades in it, and if you buy the Autocockers you won't have any money, so you can't buy anything for two years, which would really sucks.

My guess is that you really want the Cocker and you have a parent talked into buying it with the consession that you won't ask for anything else because it is such a huge cost.
It's tough to be 14 and use logic to determine what to do, because sometimes logic tells us to do things that we really don't want to do.
Think of this... NOTHING FOR TWO YEARS!!!
That is huge! Two years! You're saying, I'll take the cocker but I'll screw myself for two years.
Look, your A-5 is set up really nice. It's alot like mine. It's stable, reliable, "FULLY AUTOMATIC", and accurate. It will do anything you ask it to unless you're going to go pro.
My advice is to save the money, get the HPA... definately get the HPA! But I wouldn't trade two years for a cocker. What will it do better than what you already have?
It's a high end name.
Can it shoot farther? No.
Can it shoot faster? I doubt it.
It's shiny.
Think about it and decide.
Good luck.

Keep the A5 and go fer the HPA.
You can always save the 2-16oz co2 tanks and sell them to someone else or sell them on ebay.

keep the a5 and really not bcuz it is a tippmann, bcuz its very durable and it (or mine) can shoot as fast as some speedball guns and i just like the look of the gun, its not all pretty aluminum like the other guns its just a rugged gun that will last forever, plus, i like the way the cylone feed is, i mean u dont need to buy an electric hopper, plus u dont need to worry about chopping balls, its a great innovation, and it looks alot better than a big giant hopper sticking out of a 1 inch tube, way off the top of ur gun, i luv how the a5 looks with the hopper its nice and low pro...its just different than any other gun...

the cocker a5s are good, but cockers just have a different feel<a
better one, with less kick>. and the accuracy is the best on the
cocker.
