there is an adapter that allows you to use regular hoppers. i have no idea where you would get one though. hey, are you from minnesota? do you play at the adventurezone? |

I'm in Minnesota too. i play mostly at Mn pro, I used to play at AZ but I heard some of them talking about breaking into MN pro and stealing their sup air, and I decided i didn't want anything to do with people who do stuff like that.

The Cyclone is still basically a gravit feed. There is no real positive force put on the paintballs. The Halo can push the balls in faster, and possibly push past a chop. Those guns are cycling upwards of 20bps, where having positive pressure on the feeding balls is important without an eye. Not to mention that speedballers are all about profile and playing tight. 3 inches off the right side of their marker is the kind of stuff they have nightmares about. |

yes, but the cyclone is the closest to marker feeding system availible. except maybe a q-loader.and you dont need 20 upwards bps. so basically its posintless removing the cyclone from an a-5 but if you still wnat to do it, you need the adaptor custom made. Edited by pballa123 |

They just replaced the cyclone totally and just put a regular feed on it. i really don't like the cylones they can feed fast and all but they use alot of air. You only get 1/2 the shots on a tank.

Or not, speedball guns are set up the way they are for a reason. The hopper is best suited right above the gun, so that way you can turn your soft elbow outwards and tuck your hard hopper inwards. You have a much better chance of catching a bounce off your elbow than your hopper.
You can't do that out the right side with a Cyclone. And you can't argue it with me either. The A-5 is a very left side biased gun. Most speedballers like a balanced unbiased gun. An A-5 with a regular vertical loader system offers that. Not to mention I don't like the look of the Cyclone, a vert A-5 is much sexier. Edited by SnakeEyes |

it is true that the cyclone is gravity fed, but the balls are force fed into the chamber at the instant they need to be there. and the feedneck of the cyclone is wide enough where it doesnt really matter that its gravity fed: it will still empty itself in less than 5 seconds.

Thats nice, so that means that you maybe have 5 balls ready to fire at all times. What if you turn the gun upside down?
With the Halo, because there is a stack of balls all lined up and under enough force to feed them all and hold them in the neck, you can shoot from any position. Upside down, left side right, inside out (well maybe not inside out) and that is important for a fast paced aggressive team like Tippmann Effect. If you dive over a bunker and someone happens to be there, you want to know that you can pull the trigger at least 5 times and there will be a shot there everytime. You get that with the Halo. Yes, blah blah blah, the Cyclone is an ingenious idea, but like every other system it has its short comings. It will work in speedball, but why use it when you can have the security of always having balls ready to be fed. Thats why you would mod an A-5 like that. |

Why slow the Halo down with a Warp?
Thats a little counter productive. |

If your having problems getting hit in your cyclone, then you need to learn to snap-shoot better.
Anyway, Ken at K&P Custon milled that feedneck into the A-5. He also does 98's. |
