im not sure of this im just bored so i decided to think of a paintball idea. so i came up with a new mask. heres the idea: a mask with about 1/2-1" of neoprene or sticky grip rubber to help get more bounces. whatever material covering the mask would still have breathing holes.

ya i think neoprene would be better than sticky grip rubber. it would be a regular mask with like an inch thick layer of neoprene on it. this way if you were to get shot in the cheek or something at an angle, it would definetely bounce off because neoprene is so soft |

Why not just have the skeleton of a mask and cover it with neoprene? The neoprene is flexible so it would absorb some of the force.

it would cause so many bounces, that the NPPL would ban it. Most fields
also don't allow equipment that causes bounces. Such as down jackets.
But if your just gonna use it in your backyard then go for it. However it might give away your position since you will have an extra inch sticking off your mask. |

Stuff that causes bounces is cheap anyway, you were hit anyway, it doesn't make you a better player. If you stick out enough to require help keeping from getting shot in the face, its not your mask that sucks.

They already have masks made of soft material to help bounces, if they were made to the point where it would bounce every time than it would get banned like said above.
