Search sites for the cheapest price. I got mine for cheap at my local shop, but mine is smaller. The bigger, the more expensive most likely. Go to your local shop or search the web. good luck

I use the tank as a stock.
A drop forward is one of the things that was on my original list of upgrades, but, after using the marker for a while I decided I did not want one.
I have seen a very nice drop forward made with flat steel bar. Turned out nice too. I tried to find a link, but it was long enough ago that it did not turn up on a search.

I have a Dead on Paintball Pro-Style drop forward. It's nice, it drops the tank about 2.5" and forward about 5.75".

The wood drop forward can support the weight of a filled tank? I'd be worried it would snap off or something. Especially if you run/dive/crawl a lot.

Ok, I've never really been in the position that I'm low on cash, but come on guys, how can you even afford to play paintball if you can't scavenge up $30 for a drop?
In the mean time, if you really can't get the money to buy a dropforward, try making your own, it wouldn't be that hard.
