I was working at my local country restaurant at 15, but I'm 16 now and working as an assistant mechanic for $7.50 an hour

im 16 and feel im getting screwed. if i worked at BK in the next town over i would start out making $6.00 an hour. i was going to work at a car wash for around $10.00an hour (including tips) but they never called me back.

Why did you not want a job????????? Job sound alright to me iv done MUCH worse heck you should be happy to finally get a little $$$ of your own instead of haveing to rely on some one else (I HATE RELYING ON OTHERS).

I been working since i was 13 in various jobs.  Now im a apprentice truck mechanic and lovin it.  I make $14/hr to start (get a $1.25 raise every year till i get my license).  HECK today i was doing burnouts in a schoolbus (Actually am suposed too ).

Well your supposed too take the bus for a test drive befor and after serviceing.  During this drive you are told to put it though its paces.  The theroy behinde it is that if somthings gona go you want it to go under the mechanics control rather than the bus drivers with kids.  SOOOOOO yes i am alowd to do burnouts in school buses. GMs cant spin the tires but smoke the best but the fords just roast the tires if ya really want them too although i useually just chrip them and go.  Today i had to check for a coolant leak so i found repaired and tested.  I hjad to test it by bringing it to the HOTTEST operating temp what better weay to achive this than a brake stand burn out???? Dont hold it too long though your youl fry the trans.

You are not going to like the 16 hours a week for only $5 an hour, that is going to suck horribly.

The hours specified at the above rate will only pull in around $300 a MONTH.  why do you want so little hours.  I was in colege pulling 30-40hrs a week withough grades suffering too much (Something had too pay for school). I dont suggest pushing your hrs past 30 as it can be tireing but 14hrs is kinda supper low.  I only had trouble when i took a job at the last three weeks of colege.   it was working a 12hr night shift during the week it left me going straight from school too work the from work straight too school.  DO NOT DO THIS IT SUCKS BUG TIME.

the only bad thing about me getting miney is its all going into my cocker. once im done upgrading that im gonna start upgrading my truck. so i really wont have that much money to do other things. and once school starts im not going to be able to keep the job and school starts in about a month.
