I've heard of people using steel wool to polish their gun. DON'T!!! the steel from the wool will mix with the polish then you put it on your gun and it will rust your gun! |

1. You could be lucky 2. Depends on the type of the steel wool 3. or the density. 4. you want really dense. |

Exactially... You use the steel wool to sort of "clean" the inside of the reciever... to get that stock paint/annon/nickel (what ever it is) crap to come off... THEN you polish it... The inside of the reciever should be cleaned between the steel wool stage and the polish stage... And even if the reciever did rust (which is impossible beacuse tippmann recievers are aluminum), you could always attack it with steel wool again to get that crap off...
And if you use steel wool, use EXTRA FINE wool... (the 0000 kind) If it's too rough it will wreak havoc with your reciever... and then your gun wont work too well... or even at all... |

no, steel wool is basicly sandpaper for metal, you use a cloth and polishing compound to polish

steel wool works very well. Wool the internals, clean, then use the polish with a cloth.
