I am posting my topic here because i can't change the name of my old forum any way I have a idea for two replicas the first of the assault rifle which I'm going to call HM-16 and the second for sniper rifle Which I'm calling the HSM-40 and time for some big news they will load with ammo clips!!!!!!!! The other big news is that the HM-16 will have a working electronic read out that counts usable rounds and C02 level. The HSM-40 will have a electronic scope with up to 8X zoom and use the clip system as well. More details soon!!! |

They make a clip loaded gun already for 1800. Watch out for patents.

Um... ok. It's not like nobody else thought of this ever. anyways how can you fit 60 paintballs into a single clip that's about 4in long.

The electronic readouts intrest me so much... I love computers... A
counter for remaining shots wouldn't be too hard, but an electronic Co2
level monitor sounds VERY complicated... The closest that's out now is
an electronic reg by WDP, and various guages, which aren't the most
reliable...
How exactly do you intend to make the Co2 monitor?? |

No, Tippyguy. no one has posted it here but nearly everyone who has played Halo has thought about Halo Replica/ Halo based Paintball guns. It's pretty obvious that we want to be able to shoot stuff with the assault rifle or... ROCKET LAUNCHER!

I hate playing devil's advocate(not really, its kinda fun), but do you realize how much cash is put into developing a marker? Tippmann spent a fortune developing the A-5. Creating a line of halo weapons would require not only the cash to create a marker, but also enough for this rounds left/CO2 display... not to mention the licencing agreement with Microsoft.
also, whats so great about the sniper rifle? its 6 feet long... and only holds 4 shots. and an 8x zoom? paintballs arnt that accurate, and and 8x focuses on a range well outside that of a paintball. Edited by warmonger83 |

I agree with warmonger that would be a horrible paintball gun. but as an actual gun it rocks.

You make something in the tank that measures the c02 presurazation and then converts it into an electronic number which puts that number on the little board. And its not that hard. I am working on a STAMP computer which is about an inch long and a 1/4 of an inch wide. As for the clips you are gunna have a had time getting enough clips to feed the gun. Your gunna have 100 like 10 round clips ans thats a pain. |
