...make a noticable difference in my A5's quality? I'm talking about
distance and accuracy. I have everything stock, and realized that the
only thing that would increase my gun's performance for a reasonable
amount of money is getting a new barrel. If you think it would be the
best bet for me, what barrel should I get? I have $20, I might be able
to get $40-$60.
Thanks. |

the only barrel that will make u have more distance is the flatline which is around 130 dollars i dont know if u can find a barrel for 20 but for around fifty there are alot of good barrels that have alot more better accuracy.

I'll second that. I have both myself and I'm pleased with the accuracy. Although the bigshot is more expensive, I think it is a little more accurate and I would rather use a bigshot than a ceramic. I have heard good things about CP (custom products) barrels too and they're also very cheap. If you're using the stock barrel right now, just about any new barrel will give you more accuracy. The stock barrel on the A5 is really crummy, you almost need a new barrel to use the gun because it's so bad. |

OK the only thing your right about mr.pb dude is the distance part of the flatline. The flatline, you can currently get for 99 dollars at some online stores. A great barrel is the 12 inch J&J barrel and I have it my self. It is 43 dollars and you can get it at Countypaintball.com, 888paintball, and you could try ebay. O yea, 20 dollars won't get you a good barrel. |

I would normally tell you to get a boomstick, but considering you don't have enough money, get the Lapco bigshot. its a really good barrel.

like everyone else said the lapco and ceramic are great barrels for the price.
-Cearmic :Self cleaning internals :accurate :quite quiet :very light -Bigshot :more accurate than ceramic :much louder than ceramic :much heavier than ceramic as it is a metal, not a ceramic base barrel. a few more dollars for the bigshot, some poeple prefer it over the ceramic. i myself would get a ceramic. although the lapco seems to be the favorite around here. |

Well, quietness and weight isn't much to brag about, you'll be heard with both. As for weight, the bigshot is heavier, but does it really matter? They are both nearly under a pound. Just always remember to get good paint. A JnJ ceramic with a nice paint to barrel match will work better than a bigshot with a bad paint to barrel match. |

Why does everybody keep saying the J&J Ceramic is less accurate
than a bigshot. my brother has a bigshot and I have a J&J and dont
notice a big difference, except for the 20 dollars I saved on mine.
