I can't stand the stuck-up, overpaid, selfish, sell-outs that are in the NBA. Don't get me wrong, I have a great amount of respect for the NBA players that said they would play for the USA Olympic team, but the other guys are ungrateful. I lost every ounce of respect for the players who turned down the offer. I mean, the US has done alot to make our country what it is, and the least they can do is go play a couple of games of basketball in Athens. Back to today. Dear God, where is our team going? Getting spanked by Puerto Rico? They are practically the 51st state, and we get drummed by them! I personally think that every fourth year the NBA Champions should go and represent us in the Olympics. The Pistons would easily win gold. They atleast wouldn't lose to Puerto Rico... |

You have to admit, there are some pro players who arent as cocky and stuck-up as the Olympic team. I do believe they ahd it coming and now they are going to be humiliated in the Olympics.

I agree, some of them are air-headed. But you can't deny some of their skills. |

Basketball is huge the world over because of the NBA- the rest of the world has been catching up for the past 35 years. We sent a bunch of young NBA guys the rest of the world pretty much sends their very, very best, who often have been playing international style b-ball together for some time- and they play it pretty dang good. I don't blame those NBA guys, who have just played an 80+ game season who want a break from basketball from not playing in the olympics- it's their choice and I respect it. there is still alot of b-ball to be played in any event- they still could win the gold then all your ranting would have been pointless. Let's just let the entire event play itself out before we judge anything or anyone.
