I'm new to paintball and what do you think is the best gun for under 250$. I was looking at a tippmana5 a tippman98 custom a psyco ballistics silver bullet or a piranha e-srt,e-ext.

try to search but anyway:

the 98c is a fairly old gun.  it is a good gun for new players who play in the woods and who are on a tight budget.  there are a ton of upgrades out there if someday u want to make it better.

the a-5 is fairly similar to the 98c but it is much newer technology and comes with the cyclone feeder.  It is a better gun than the 98c but costs a bit more.  its great for woodsball.

if ur into speedball, i would consider an electric spyder.  the spyder imagine or pilot are great guns for their prices (an imagine is a lil over $100).  My friend has an imagine and i like it a lot.  and, if u really want to, you can add a trigger stop and make it fairly easy to walk.

so in conclusion, dont get a 98c.  if u play in the woods more, get an a-5 and if u play speedball more, look at a very cheap electric gun.

Go for the A-5 or the M98Custom.  Both serve new players very well, and can be upgraded for cheap, and are fairly easy to work on, and are incredibly reliable.

There isn't anything wrong with the 98c, and after a few upgrades it works just fine for speedball.  The e piranhas aren't bad guns, but I like a gun with more available upgrades. If you are willing to settle for something used, you can get a higher quality, or somewhat upgraded gun for a good price.

TES rips 17 out of the box, 20 with a new bolt and switch. Such a better gun then either silver bullet,a-5, and 98.
