Well I was going to put an off brand electronic spyder trigger frame on my extra 98c. As a proof of concept (instead of spending 230 on an ebolt just get a 40 frame) Well I get it all cut and sized up. I take it to my shop teacher to get welding (supposedly the best welder anyone has ever seen.) I tell the guy specific instructions of where the sear should be and whatnot. Takes the guy 6 days to do it. I go to him today to see if he got it done. He did, I thanked him and hurried off to basketball practice. I look at it after to find that the sear is too far back to catch the bolt and the welds are craptastic, not to mention the weld went to far in so that the sear wont even move. Im so mad, its like $160 down the drain cause he didnt take any pride in his work. Well I was ganna get a minilathe now I say screw it, Im getting a welder. Maybe I can use the trigger frame internals on my regular 98c. If not Im out $200 dollars. Well crap another 30 and I could have gotten an ebolt. lol. |

Why on earth would you have that welded.
Bandsaw off the grip, drill press, thread tap, bam, gripframe attached. And removable no less. |

I was going to do that accually. That would have taken seriouse time in a shop which I had 0 time in a shop. So it was welded or nothing. Plus I figured I would not need to remove the frame because I could always just get a new board. |
