   I recently got Greg Hastings' Tournament paintball for the Xbox, heres my review

  This is no substitute for real paintball, as with any paintball
games. It is still a great game, and can even help you in real life. 

-Single Player-

  The only single player mode is "Tournament Mode," where you
start off with a Conman gun playing Rec ball. You select your player
model (A dissapointingly small selection of your player.) You play
through the latter of tournaments (Preliminaries, Semi-Finals, Finals).
You gain Experience that you can put toward certain skills, however
there are only 4 broad skills (Marker Control, Speed, Accuracy, and
Reloading) to customize. You also gain credits to buy equiptment.

-Markers, apparel, and accessories-

  100+ liscensed peices of equiptment are there for your use. Now,
you can't go into extreme detail, which is exceptable because there is
already alot of painstaking detail into the equiptment. For example,
you cant go into the detail of buying a double trigger for your 98.
There are tons of liscensed barrels, tanks, hoppers, pods/harnesses,
jerseys, shoes, pants, gloves, and masks for you to buy and use. The
only problem is: With all of this liscensed gear, WHERE IS SMARTPARTS?!
No teardrops, nerves, freaks, or impulses. SP isnt liscensed in the
game.

-Game Play-

This is an amazing simulator. It makes Digital Paintball look like a
run-n'-gun shootemup. There are many ways to snap, dive, run, and hold
your gun. The A.I. uses great tactics (normal-hard mode), and put up a
nice fight. The problem I have with the AI is that you cant issue
commands, or ask where they are. This would add alot more realistic
tactics.

Getting shot is interesting. If you get shot once in the torso, a guage
appears, and a bar goes back and forth along it. You press "A" to stop
it and if it stops on a small green area, the hit is a bounce,
otherwise, you are out and you play as another one of your teammates.
This represents a "Paint check". If you get shot in the mask, you are
always out.

The ways different guns shoot is very innovative. For Kingmans and
Tippmanns, or slower guns, you press in the R trigger farther in to
shoot. Faster guns you barely need to press it. WPG's and higher-end
guns shoot once when you press the trigger, and again when you release,
so every time you tap the trigger it shoots twice.

-Multiplayer-

Xbox Live plays great. This is where you can work with making plans and
using tactics in real-life. Its just like Digital Paintball, but with
alot of more moves, and realism. 

-Graphics-

They are amazing. The lighting effects, glares, and bump-mapping are nice enough to compete with Halo 2. 

-Sound-

Great sound, you hear the teamates screaming when they are hit, the
balls make different noises whether you shoot an air bunker, wood, or
the ground. There is a nice liscensed soundtrack of techno, punk, and
rock.
