Heres a pic of my carbine, and my recently acquired .68 special (circa 1990)
![]() I bought the carbine with lunch money and cash from odd jobs in the mid '90s. Now its sporting the following: - VA with a male stabilizer - benchmark offset-left (rail) with a CP on/off - "firstout" RVA - empire loader - DYE '03 stickies - assorted SS fasteners - ported and polished powertube - lightened and polished stock hammer (see "trigger" mods below as well) - lighter trigger spring - Shenko safety-stop - LAPCO double trigger - the sear-catch on the hammer has been filed down quite a bit so that the sear would release with the shorter trigger pull afforded by the Shenko safety-stop. In the picture is a 14" AA barrel, but currently I much prefer my LAPCO 12" autospirit (slightly smaller bore than the Bigshot). I'm very happy with its performance, so I'll probably will leave it alone. With the exception of maybe an HPA tank in the future, possibly a boomstick as well. Underneath that is my .68 special... very cool old gun, fun to shoot. Keep your eyes open for some mods in that one in the near future Edited by Nigelf |

It kicks butt... when its working. Its very picky about how the batteries are in place, seems to be breaking in though. |

heh, you dont have to. Special (the one on the bottom) is mostly for fun. The barrel slips into place and is clamped with a pinch bolt (much like the carbine and PC, except no threads, it just slides into place). I grabbed an 18" boomstick for an old centerfeed automag (pretty cheap nowadays) and I'm having it machined down to fit. Should be alot of fun :) The thing chugs along, and actually has recoil. I have an FA as well, but I dont have the time to mess around with tuning it, so I may be selling it in the future (no, not on here... I know). Edited by Nigelf |

I'm not really sure what you're getting at... I believe the CO2 benefits from a reg more than HPA does (assuming you can keep the liquid out). And thanks for all the compliments guys, I'll post more pics of the Special when it gets its new barrel. Nigel F |
