it would be kinda expensive, especially for a kid,but you can buy new power tubes from a pb shop,or dead-on makes the pro-seal,but you can buy multiple ones and install different setups, like one with a vertical adapter for a x-chamber or something like that, then another with a reverse ASA,i thought of a few other cool ones but i forget right now,but you can just strip the marker, remove one power tube with one setup, and put in the next setup.some setups can use the same one,for example you could have a vert adapter and x-chamber,you just remove the ASA and unscrew the x-chamber and screw in,say,a remote line.

I think he's talking about a modular paint marker system.  Kind of like having one marker, but the accessories to set it up in several different ways.  For instance if I feel like being the guy that provides fires support all day for my team I would install the flatline barrel and response trigger parts before I went to the field.

How do you guys not get what he's saying?
He is saying that you could buy, say, 3 power tubes.
Have one power tube have a bottomline in it, just the normal thing...  The steel braided hose.
Have another powertube with a Gas-Thru grip attatched to it...
Have another powertube with a regulator attatched to it.
So when you want to, just unscrew the powertube, lift it out, and plop in the new one.
Not a bad idea at all.

Add all the power tubes, hoses and other essentials all together and you'll see how much that would cost to a person.

for three "setups" bottom line, expansion chamber, regulator.

valves- $30 x 3= $90

pro seal tubes- $15 x 3= $45

SS line- $8 x 3= $24

vertical adapters- $20 x 2= $40

expansion chamber- $20

regulater- $80 (avg)

total- i got $299 mentaly not counting gun cost, but i assume they would have them. i get your idea, which seems great, but wouldnt be very cheap.

Thank you Triggerhappy1....now that being said, the best idea in this category is actually having another marker as a back up then replacing the power tubes every time for one marker.

I know it's expensive as heck, and not really practical....  But compared to all the other ideas in this forum... heh...

Its ok Curly, having extra power tubes and the other essentials is a good way of saying you have plenty of spare parts when the parts in the marker needs replacing when the time comes....in the long run its a better way then goin online or goin to the local pbstore jus to replace the parts that has been worn out, damaged or lost....and if you havent noticed alot of paintball players (not only speedball players) actually do carry extra parts for their markers in their gear bags at the field....my friends and I do this everytime when we go woodsballing, we do share the some of the spare parts wit each other jus to stay in the games.

or you could build a kick ass gun all the way around and not worry about doing anything incredibly stupid and expensive

note: proseal front bolt and power tube w/o any o-rings or anything in them are $30

two words "quick realease." you can have all the accesories you want with $2.00 quick release fittings on both ends. besides if I remember correctly, the valve is supposed to be thread-locked to the shell anyway.
