It can if you want it to. Traditionally, more high-end guns like an angel would be considered a competition gun.

i would not put it into a competetion my brother has a a-5 and he has done it up really good and he asked this expert in england about it and he said it is not worthy to be a competetion gun even though it has 18 inch barrel drop forward stock scope air canister and e- grip i was suprised when he asked this other guy and he said he should go into a competiton so yeah it could be used as a competiton gun |

^^^Thats because scopes are useless in competition...
The a-5 can keep up with the big boys with a couple good ups. Comp LPK- Palmer Reg HPA-(low Pressure) E grip with double trigger probably JCS Boomstick (or freak kit, or evil pipe kit, what ever floats) Drop with on off...Thats about it. |

A stock A5 is not really, but add and E-grip, nitros, and a better barrel... you'll be good to go. |

i have a 98 c and he let me have a go on his a-5 when he had his nitros in **edited** me that ball was so powerfull and it just glided like anything it was amazing sorry for using the swear word but i can not explain it any other way
