Is there any way to change a .mov to a .gif?

If .mov is a picture type, then yes, otherwise, I'm not sure. Save it(if it's a picture) then open it in paint. Then, go to save as, and at the bottom of the screen will be something that says "Save as type" then click on .gif.

.mov is short for movie!

That's why I said, if it's a picture. But, last I remembered .gif was a picture type, so I have no idea how you would save a movie as a picture.

I think, and I repeat that I think you need to take each frame of the movie and insert them one frame at a time into a .gif maker such as Macromedia Fireworks or Adobe Imageready.
