No, you can use co2 on the Ion but it has to be anti-siphoned. If you do run co2 I suggest cleaning your gun after every time you shoot.

I think the co2 is a dirty air supply thing was drempt up by some newb in the fiber wrapped tank business. My internals have always been immaculate running c02. BTW my gun is occaisionally inspected by a factory certified technician. I believe the word he used to describe my internals was "prestine".

The Ion runs on HPA or an anti-syphoned CO2 tank.
