Recently just purchased the A-5 w/ the flatline barrel, I installed the Egrip yesterday and took it for a test run. Worked great for about the first 50 balls and after that it started chopping them between the barrel and the cyclone feed. I am using high quality paint, I think the problem might be I'm using CO2 but then again I'm pretty new to the workings of paintball guns. I also tried ajusting the cyclone feed housing to make sure it was align properly, but no help there.
Any help would be great.

The paint fits your barrel, right? Keep in mind why it breaks- the front bolt pushes the ball into the barrel before releasing air. The paint could have been bad (soft shell) or the good paint you're using doesn't match your barrel so the bolt chops it trying to squeeze it in.

Makes sense, The talked with the pro shop here they said the paint size is good with the barrel size. They seem to think that the velocity setting is too high and the gun can't handle it. He also told me it would be better if I had the nitro upgrade go figure. So basically I need to turn the velocity down just a hair.

Thanks for you advice

Try adjusting your velocity first without buying the nitro upgrade. I dont use nitro and I use the egrip and flatline. with no chops.
