Ok ive been looking online at a suped up tipman at the website pb1-4.com (otherwise known as paintballfirst.com) and I need to know a few things:

1. Is this site trustworthy?

2. It sounds like there is a built in hopper for the A-5, is this true? if so how many balls does it hold?

http://shop.1-4pb.com/item.asp?n=178158&pcc=%23FFFFFF&am p;tc=%23CFCFCF&tfc=%23E81400&showbig=1

We've put together a fully customizeable tactical gun for you that looks nearly identical to the original HK MP-5k. The "5k" version features the shorter body and front vertical grip that is characteristic of the latest model MP-5's.

This version is the fully automatic MP-5, capable of mowing down numerous opponents in seconds.

With unbeatable features like legendary durability, dead-on accuracy, an integrated feed system that is unable to chop, and the ability to field strip completely in less than 60 seconds... yes, you can close your jaw now, this gun is unbelieveable.

Customize the HK MP-5k to be exactly how you'd like it. Standard features include an MP-5k grip frame, fully automatic action, treated reciever to stand up to the elements, and integrated sights.

Standard Features:

  • MP-5 Trigger Frame
  • Fully-Automatic action (reactive trigger frame) means that no one is safe from you!
  • MP-5 Ammunition "Banana" Clip - integrated 6-Stage Expansion Chamber not only gives your gun a fearsome look, but increases your performance staggeringly!
  • Integrated hopper saves you money and gaurantees NO CHOPS!!
  • Tactical hosing and matte black finish will keep you hidden from prying eyes
  • Accepts Tippmann A5 Barrels

Now we know that you all have a specific role to play, so we wanted to leave the important decisions up to you! Choose any and all of the optional features detailed below. Click through the Options menu above to see exactly what your gun will look like

Optional Features:

  • Stealth-modified Red Dot Laser Sight - Projects a high-intensity laser dot on the polycarbonate window to allow precise targeting without any giveaway beam that the enemy can see.
  • Tippmann A5 Flatline Barrel system - Not only looks like a real-life supressor, but is gauranteed to add 100 extra feet of distance over the stock barrel! Perfect for snipers! Perfect for anyone who wants the added advantage of distance!
  • Tactical Adjustable Combat Stock - Adjustable to 3 different positions to best suit your needs! Perfect for close-quarters combat or to stabilize a long-distance shot. Lightweight military grade material adds virtually no weight!

Well i wouldn't even touch it seeing as the red dot sight on it is BACKWARDS. if they can't even get that straight then screw the deal.

Assuming he's talking about the picture in the provided link; he's wrong, the sight is not on backwards.

Edited Notes:  Here is some other stuff to consider:

  • The stock looks cool but:
    • It adds more weight
    • It will interfere with your mask and probably prevent you from being able to get down on the marker enough to use the sight
  • The magazine expansion chamber does not even look realistic and you can prabably find more effective expansion chambers for less money
  • The flatline is a good barrel, I have one on a 98C and love it, but:
    • When you break paint in it you lose all accuracy until it is cleaned and the only way to really clean the A5 version is to take it off.  (Yes, I know you can use a straight shot squeegee, but you have to make sure no round is in front of the bolt and it still is not as effective as a pull-through squeegee.)
    • If you're not familiar with the flatline I suggest you find the flatline sticky and read through it.  You will find pro and con opinions and should judge them by how well supported they are.
  • If you really like the setup shown, you should check and see what it would cost to set up buying the parts separately and compare that to the asking price for the one shown above.

Now, I'll try to answer a couple of your specific questions:

  • The A5 comes with a built in air-activated hopper.  Each time it is fired, air is diverted from the valve to a piston which advance a sprocket feeder in the bottom of the hopper.  This system is a force-feed system as opposed to gravity feed and works quite well.
  • My stock A5 hopper holds exactly 200 rounds although I don't recommend filling it (or any other hopper) to capacity.  You always want to leave room for the paint to move around when the hopper agitates.  (I know it holds 200 rounds because I was bored one day and counted the paintballs as I put them in.)
