Hi and welcome to the forum. 98C are easier to upgrade. I would take a serious look at the Custom Pro w/ E-grip if you have the budget. By the time you upgrade a regular 98C you have more money into it than what a pro would have cost you.

The E-grip is already installed on the Pro/Custom, Tippmann's new gun. Out of the two you listed, I would go with the 98c because it is more upgradeable. For the 98c, it is an E-bolt and your local shop should be able to install it.

I would take the 98c also because it is a lot easier to upgrade. You can get a e-grip or an e-bolt it would help a lot for your game. You do need the budget to buy and install all these if you do want to improve your game. but back to the gun choosing, deffinetly the 98c it's just easier.

You can go a little cheeper than the Custom Pro E and get the stock Custom Pro. The only downside is that you don't get the discount of having the E-grip already installed.
