Speedball uses fast guns and air filled bunkers. Games like Centerflag are played. Airball is pretty much the same thing unless you mean Air Soft. That uses Milsim guns that shoot plastic bb's. woodsball > speedball |

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

Heyya! Just a run-down of types of play: Airball- Type of speedball, usually a small field using air-filled bunkers (like giant inflatable pool toys) and usually uses center or duel flags, or elimination. Hyperball- This uses massive corregated tubes, usually black. Same types of play as airball, the only difference is the material used as bunkers. Woodsball- Games played in a woods environment. The games can have flags, elimination, missions, or certain scenarios. The course may or may not have man-made bunkers/things. Recball- Often, people mean woodsball, but the full term is "recreational paintball" and that is any paintball played for recreation over competition. Scenarioball- Games played on usually very large fields with missions, props, sometimes lasting for 24-hours. Can come in the big-game format as well where real-estate is held for point values over a given time period. Outlaw Ball- Paintball played on something other than an organized field, can be any of the above, though most often woods or courses made of scraps put together. Good luck!

FI_reigns , LOL you think woodsball isnt competitive ?!? I've played most of my time in a speedball type environment , and recently , been playing Rec-ball... (renegade ball to be specific ) Lemmee Tell you , Them Damned Rec-Ballers got more heart and soul in one game than most tourney players got in their whole career !! I am not saying tourney players got fewer Balls (He-He! ) to lay down , just that Rec ballers that I hang with aint afraid to lay it out first shot , and last shot .. Incendary smoke , Mines , Cannons (Yikes !!) Can Ya tell I am Trolling here a bit ?!? Despite the Polarization of the two camps , there's a lot of similarities too , Heart , dedication , and skill , without it in either game , your a target , not an opponent . |

Heyya! Please refrain from the use of ignorance. Your cooperation is appreciated. Direct quote: I not only take the time to explain what people often mean but also what the term actually means. I'm not sure if I stuttered, though maybe the fact that more than one concept was presented in a sentence somehow mangled the circuits in your brain. But anyway, based on this, the conclusion that I am saying woodsball is not competetive is wrong. If need be, I can send you an abrdiged version of this. Thank you for your time and cooperation. Good luck!

Woodsball field: Search "photo tour of my woodsball field" in thoughts and opinions. Nice comparison for newbies. |
