I am New at this but I want to ask again if you think that an A-5 is a good gun to start in paintball. And I am Asking because I have seen some other brands much more expensive, but there are also some others cheper than the a-5. |

The A-5 is a great starter gun. It is easy to maintain and very durrable. There are hundreds of upgrades for it, so you can customize it to your liking.

Yup, the A-5 is one of the best starter guns. You don't have to know a lot to take care of it and it's very costomizable. If you have the money get it.

My A-5 was a great starter gun. I have no regrets and now its still my prime gun with the ups on it (see sig) yep I love it for speedball especially and woodsball its still the best thing out there in my opinion. The great things are that its reliable, upgradeable, accurate and can be fixed up to be great in speedball with some sweet ups like the e-grip and JCS trigger.

well if it were me I would get a 98 custom and then put a cyclone feed on it. or just get a 98 custom. they are lighter and more customisible (sp lol) really the only 2 differences than an a-5 and a 98 custom with a cyclone is that the 98c is lighter. and the a-5 is easier to field strip

Well if it were me, and I didn't want the A-5, I would get a Custom Pro or Custom Pro E, as the regular customs can't get E-Grip. Anyway: Speedball: Custom Pro E Woodsball: A-5 |

if you look at the 98c vs. the A5, the bolt sytems are different. Thats why you have to buy a the e-bolt instead of just getting like the egrip for the a5. Your best bet is to go for the stock custom pro and then upgrade. Be careful though cuz after i put a lot of money into my stuff i cant resell it for a whole lot. Also if you dont have any other equipment like mask or whatever go on ebay, thats were im selling and buying my new gun.

The A-5 was my first (and currently my only) gun. Its great all around because you pay for the preformance of a decent gun to start with, not looks. Most other weapons you've seen on the field are kits that basically do what your A5 could had it the same upgrades. Cost wise, it usually costs about the same so for thos eof us who aren't made of money, buying into tippmann is a good alterative allowing you to upgrade over time and still being able to make it into something kewl.
Just be sure that thje firs tthing you buy for your A5 is a new barrel as the stock that comes weith it is sure **edited**. I'd reccormend the LAPCO SnapShot 18''. Good range and accuracy! |

The A-5 is brilliant ! Never gives me trouble however for speed ball an
Ion is better. I think the A-5 is better than the custom pro
since the pro is a cheaper marker that needs all these upgrades to make
it competative witch for the same price you could get the A-5.

me personally i hate the A-5 ive only played with it once and the only thing it had on it was a progressive barrel and e-grip the e-grip shoots so much slower than the r/t so i think ill have 2 go with my first gun i ever got and still have my 98 custom with halo b and r/t 24bps baby i just odered a evil omen 2.0 because evil just signed me for one of there teams so now my tippmann is only gonna be used for rec play but if i didnt have that none of whats happend 2 me in the game of paintball would of happend and ill always love the 98 custom

Yes! Simple, upgradable, reliable, etc. If you have the money, go for it! If you buy anything cheaper, you'll wish you hadn't.

A5 is a very good gun to start with. It's very reliable, customizable, and tough. If you want some more reviews, go to www.pbreview.com. Another thing, choose the gun you really like. But yeah, A5 is a good gun.
