I have talked to my Superintendant, and im now getting permission to raise money for a county-wide paintball orginization at high school. Each will have 2 paintball teams and will play every friday. I need to raise about 5K for it so how should I go about it?

go to fields, proshops, and even e-mail or send letters to big-name companies like smart parts or dye asking for donations, and be sure to include "no amount is too small" so they don't think your just another greedy pig.

were trying to do this at my school. what you do is get a local store/stores to sponsor diff teams and like what bluemunky already said big gun componys usually jump at the chance to sponsor highschool teams and also look for kids on the teams whos parents work for big companys that might sponsor you. thats how we find most of our sponsors.

How about a 10 man team and a $500 registration fee? Maybe not. seriously, that is cool idea. Why not go to your local field and try to get support there. Perhaps you could sponsor a private game and ask the filed for a percentage? Otherwise, carwashes, bake sales, fundraisers (candy sales) all work pretty well. Back in my day we raised $750.00 in one day by running a carwash one Saturday. We went to a local business that had good frontage on a main street in town, and the business let us use their water... look for a business that has easy ingress and exits... if you can run an extension cord you could vacuum cars for extra cash...

^the carwash is a good idea, also if your area has a fair or some big event like that, you can ask a business if you can use their lot and donate half the money you charge for parking to them. we did it in scouts, and raised around 900 dollars in just 3 days.

same here. that would be awesome. the only problem is that if it was a school sport, there would have to be so many practices and the total cost for paint would be high. another thing is that how many school paintball teams are there? none (well there may be) and who would ur school play against? |

its a county-wide thing. Each team practices 1 or 2 days a week on the fields made for it (only 2) and you play aginst the teams in your county

If you know some owners of local businesses, try to get them to sponser you. I did this for a school activity and about 14 people raised about $10,000. Another thing to do is to raffle a paintball gun off at a field if you decide to sponser a private game. I'd love to join paintball at high school, how did you get your school system to allow you to?
