i thought the flatline barrel was the only barrel that could increase the range of the paintball by 100ft but i heard someone say that the apex has all the capabilties of the flatline and more. i know u can curve the paintballs with the apex but can you get the same distance from it as the flatline?

^^^^ You prolly should have searched...... Anyway since I like you.......I know that the Apex increases range but I'm pretty sure that nothing can match the distance of the flatline. On the other hand, the Apex is more versitile. |

Apex is a joke. I have a flatline and it works great! First off who wants to adjust the stupid apex every time they want to shoot. To much to do. The flatline is way cooler and the range is the better than the apex. Flatline>apex |

There are several Apex v. Flatline reviews on the forum, if you guys would search. Bruce Frank in particular did a good review. |

I own a flatline and I've seen an apex in use.
Yes, the apex shot a good bit farther then the flatline. The downside was that people complain that it breaks easily and is HORRIBLY inaccurate at that kind of distance. And yeah, they both have a pretty crappy look to them, but when you ad a stock with the flatline it looks sweet. I don't see anything to great about either, at a close range they're quite useless cause they're big and in the way and just not the best accuracy for close quarter situations. And even though they shoot REALLY far, they're not accurate enough to do you any good. Neither the flatline OR the apex are worth getting in my oppinion. |

You don't need accuracy in clsoe quarters situations- the target is relatively big. Barrel length isn't much of a problem either; this isn't real rifles we're talkinghere, neither is large enough to be unwieldy or heavy. |

The flatty/apex shoot about the same as any other barrel at close
ranges, except that you cant turn your gun to the side and get the same
results.

Im considering one or the other but Im really getting fed up with all
of the mixed opinions on this topic. There has to be some
breaking point where one is definatly better than the other. I
play lots of woodsball and I just want the best barrel for it.
Now could someone please lay down the law without their biased opinions
(especially when you havent tried both barrels!
