You should look into a sight rail . . .
link to lapco then look at a military surplus place for a sight |

You will find that laser sights have very limited use in daylight
woodsballs. Additionally, many fields do not allow their use due
to the risk of eye damage from direct exposure to the beam.

They are plentiful and cheap all over Ebay and many other auction sales sites. A search on Ebay with the name "laser sight" produced 700 hits. I have bought several off Ebay. Available as universal clamp-ons, Weaver style and 3/8" mounts. There are also styles that are incorporated as part of the grip which will fit 45 automatics (which the Tippmann mimics) Prices range from $3.00 to about $50.00 with shipping running $10 to $20. There are ones also available that are vision safe. I have used them at night under-the-lights play where they work well. The front lens must be protected from paint hits. A protective lens needs to be mounted on the front of the laser and then a tube placed in front of it. The protective lens glows brightly from some minor dispersion of the beam, so you become very visible. Therefore a tube, plastic pipe works well, 3 or 4" long needs to be slipped over the lens and laser body so the flair of light is only visible down range...by the person being targeted. Regardless of accuracy the intimidation factor is extreme. I have kept players pinned down so well with just the laser that I was able to walk up and surrender them, and I was out of paint. |

Listen to Bruce's suggestion , I have used the same setup and it works
quite well, the tube hideing the laser is very important if not used ,
you will be detected by all . I purchased mine from Wal-Mart, I beleive
it was $18.00 it was designed for a BB gun , it came with a on/off
button and a remote instant on/off switch that allows you to mount it
to your likeing.

a red dot is a much better choice. one good reason is that the actual laser will only be good for about 40 feet, and you just won't b able to see it anymore. |
