Just got 2 A-5's and they work great. Although when trying to field strip the internals won't slide out for cleaning as the instructions say. I have screwed in the velocity screw to no avail. What am I doing wrong ?

I have removed the tombstone adapter, trigger assembly ect, all pins. I was reading an article about how the screw underneath the back sight could cause this.

Sometimes they just stick a little. Don't be afraid to give the gun a good bop to dislodge things inside. |

It's because the inside of the gun is too rough. If you polish the internals everything will slide out every time. The first time I fieldstripped mine, my friend just pulled on the back bolt till everything inside just flew around his livingroom :P but it all worked fine. I polished the internals soon after and now it works perfectly. Unless you're truly doing a FIELD strip, I'd just unscrew the entire gun anyways... you can miss a lot of stuff that needs to be cleaned by just dumping it out the end like that. |

It can help to loosen the two screw that hold the frame together in the back.. That wil give you a little more space and it should pop out like a dream :)
