Tippmann 98 Valve Problems (low pressure)

    I recently got a hold of an older Tippmann 98 and am having some problems. This gun has been really abused and am trying to do what I can to get it working right again. I guess it was left out in the rain for a day or two and has been left un-maintained in some kids closet for well over a year.

    I bought it for $40. It came with the Tippmann low presure kit installed , a tippmann regulator, drop forward, double trigger, and some kind of unbranded barrel. Everything, other then the actual body, looks like it's in good condition. But there is one thing that is really worrying me, leaks.

    From what I can tell there is a leak coming from inside the valve itself and air is coming out of the barrel. I'm not sure what this could be exactly.

    Rather then trying to buy different parts to put into the valve I'd imagine it would be way easier to buy a whole new valve. ** But this is what the problem really is. I found a complete valve assemby for $20, but will it be compatable (sp?) with the low presure kit?

    *What exactly is the difference between and low pressure valve and a regular tippmann 98 valve? If it's springs would I be able to buy the regular tippmann valve and just swap the springs out?

    I'm not familiar with the Tippmann valve and the low presure kit especially. Any help I could get would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advanced.
