Most people say do not use any type of oil in your barrel. Just run water through and to get the porting turn the water up and put your hand on the other end to get the water to go through. And you can use it on mason cause thats what i alsways do. |

I use plain ol' Dawn brand dish soap, in addition to the hot water.
Breaks up whatever oil/fill remains in the barrel... rinses clean. I use barrel cleaning brushes... but a soapy papertowel/tissue wad pushed thru with a wooden dowel rod or cut straight section of a plastic hanger does the trick. |

I run water through it then a bunch of toilet paper (clean) on a
pencil, then finally my swab to get the bits of paper left behind.
