THE WAR OF 1812 PART II

The year is 2006. Tensions between Canada and the United States have reached a boiling point. The Americans have closed their borders to the flow of Canadian Maple Syrup, and the smooth, rich, full-bodied taste of Moosehead and Moosehead Light (Now available in cans at The Beer Store). Canadian brewers and syrup makers are outraged (and a bit tipsy), and have amassed at the borders demanding they once again let the American public get cranked from thier Suds, and that there never be a dry pancake or waffle in their country again. After a bitter demand by Canadian deligates on Capitol Hill, the US Government has refused to let the golden brown drink, and rich, maple taste flood the country (although the speaker of the house was rumoured to have smelled like an IHOP, and was allegedly seen staggering around the Hill with a case of beer in tow).

This has set the stage for what is surely to be one of the most destructive battles in History. Remembering their forefathers unique way of waging war, both sides have agreed to settle their differences at one pre-determined field of battle…Adrenaline Paintball in Ontario. They have both agreed that the outcome of the day shall determine the fate of the Canadian brewers, their syrup producing counterparts and all of the combined waistbands and livers of the American public. An unbiased reffing staff has been choosen from dozens of eager applicants, all wanting this dispute to have an ‘impairing’ end to the day. The United Nations has stepped in and set the date: Saturday, May 13 2006. This is certainly a day, which will live in Imfamy.

“Stay ever vigilant, our intoxicant producing heroes, you are not alone in this fight”

To all the brave warriors who wish to join in the call to arms, you will be given instructions to this historic event in the months to come. Plan to attend this event now, your social drinking habits and favourite breakfasts depend on it. Will history be repeated once again and see our brave Canadian forces victorious? Or will the Americans march across the field of battle desimating their Tim Horton toting foes?
